Mandalena is a Cypriot transdisciplinary artist, writer and educator based in Dublin. Her art is intimate as she explores and reflects upon her lived experience delving into themes of vulnerability, love and queerness. As the audience unpacks the work they come to the realization that in the pursuit of self love, inner peace and justice for all, one must navigate endless fields of confusion, frustration, and disappointment. Through self portraiture painting and photography executed in a contemporary aesthetic and conceptual performances, along with poetry and diary entries, she details this journey in hopes to create an honest and heartfelt connection with herself and the wider world.
